The Humane Society of Tulsa is overloaded with pets!

TULSA, OK–Recent pet rescues have left the Humane Society of Tulsa in desperate need of help.  Over the past week, HST has taken in nearly 30 additional dogs in need of homes.

Last Thursday, April 15th, HST helped rescue several Chihuahuas from a puppy mill situation in Jones, Oklahoma.  The following Saturday, 20 Shih Tzu mixes were saved from a hoarders residence in Berryhill.

All of the animals have been vet examined, vaccinated, spayed/neutered and given a clean bill of health.  Now they’re in need of the last step to their new lives…a home.

The Humane Society Adoption Center is packed full with puppies, many two or more per kennel.  The struggling economy had taken its toll on local pet adoptions and now more and than ever, HST needs help finding homes for Green Country’s forgotten pets.
