With the click of the mouse, you can help animals at The Tulsa Animal Welfare shelter. 

Volunteer Karen Curtis recently completed the grant application for Pepsi Refresh’s $1.3 million in funding. Now, it’s your turn to vote for her project to help our local pets. Simply go to refresheverything.com and register. Click on “Browse ideas and vote.” On the next screen, look at lower left hand corner and click on “Join Refresh Everything.” The sign up screen will appear and just fill it out. 

To find Curtis’ project, you can simply search “Tulsa Animal Welfare.”

Curtis is hoping to get one of the $25,000 neighborhood grants. Ten $25,000 projects will be selected by the number of votes at the end of the month and awarded the money. Currently, the Tulsa Animal Welfare project is ranked 32nd. 

With the $25,000 grant, Curtis says the money will go toward:

$ 2,714 anesthesia machine – wall mounted

$ 2,120 anesthesia machine – portable

$ 170 mayo stand for surgical instruments

$ 618 floor scale

$ 1,700 spay/neuter surgical instrument packs (10)

$ 2,195 mobile lift table

$ 1,231 intravenous infusion pump

$ 293 intravenous fluid warmer

$ 2,452 anesthesia/surgical vital sign monitor

$ 695 pulse ox surgical monitor – hand held

$ 395 centrifuge

$ 1,500 anesthesia gas scavenger system upgrade

$ 5,495 I stat blood analyzer

$ 420 washer/drier
