Osage Casino Helps Collect Food for Tulsa SPCA

(TULSA, Okla.) – Pet lovers enjoyed Woofstock 2011 this month at the Riverwalk in Jenks. Osage Casino donated pet food to the Tulsa SPCA and was among dozens of exhibitors and vendors.

Volunteer Manager Courtney Waska, of the Tulsa Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), said she was grateful to Osage Casino and visitors who attended Woofstock 2011 to benefit daily pet care.

Visitors to the Osage Casino booth who donated five or more cans of food or a minimum of five pounds of dry pet food received a free water bowl and Free Play to the casino.

 “We received 284 cans of food and 122 pounds of dry food from Osage Casino,” Waska said. “Thanks so much to the Osage Casino because this donation could not have come at a better time.”

The Tulsa SPCA relies on donations to support the daily care of its pets and with all aspects of shelter operations rescue, rehab and pet adoptions.
