Tulsa SPCA benefit cookbook

Impress your family with some amazing dinners and treats and support a great cause at the same time. Make sure to snap up your copy of Tulsa SPCA’s benefit cookbook, Hearts + Bones, A Benefit Cookbook, before they are all gone.

All proceeds from the sale of the cookbook will be used to care for the homeless cats and dogs at the TSPCA shelter and to support programs like the low-cost spay/neuter clinic that benefit the community.

The books cost $15 and include more than 350 recipes collected from directors, employees, volunteers and supporters of TSPCA.

Recipes are categorized into appetizers and beverages, soups and salads, vegetables and side dishes, main dishes, breads and rolls, desserts, cookies and candy, and this and that (pet treat and household cleaner recipes).

Dishes include the “Outside-In Bacon Blue Cheeseburgers,” “Bon Ton Café Bread Pudding” (a recipe from the Bon Ton Café in New Orleans), “Ms. Joan’s Beef Brisket,” and “Reese’s Peanut Butter Cake.” Sounds yummy!

You can purchase your own copy of Hearts + Bones by printing an order form from tulsaspca.org/cookbook and mailing it to Tulsa SPCA Cookbook, P.O. Box 4651, Tulsa, OK 74159.

Books can also be purchased at the shelter at 2910 Mohawk Blvd. or from the Mobile Adoption Center (MAC). Check tulsaspca.org for a current MAC schedule.
