A little girl in Glenpool has decided to use her birthday party this year to benefit the shelter animals in her hometown.2015-08-07 01.10.53

Katrina and her mother Kristen Jeffrey-Stevens have extended an open invitation to the big birthday bash this Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Black Gold Park in Glenpool. Guests are encouraged to bring a donation for the Glenpool Animal Shelter.

“Katrina is an amazing little girl who has a huge heart for animals,” said Jeffrey-Stevens via email. “She has wanted to be a veterinarian since she was four.”

According to her mom, Katrina loves to cuddle with her animals and takes very good care of them. She even has a cat of her own, a gray tabby named Kronos. She loves to read about cats and learn facts about them.

Featured at Katrina’s birthday party will be a ‘Smooch a Pooch’ booth. Dog kisses and photos opportunities will cost just $.25. Donated prizes and goodie baskets will be raffled off with each guest receiving a raffle ticket just for attending. Additional tickets will be available for purchase for $1 or 6 tickets for $5. There will also be games, cupcakes and refreshments.

Katrina has set a goal of raising $500 and Tony Minert and Associates has offered a donation match of up to $500.

You can RSVP for the party at [email protected] Let’s help make Katrina’s birthday wishes come true and meet her goal this weekend!
