RIB CRIB PITMASTERS GOLF TOURNAMENT RAISES $105,000 FOR TULSA CHARITIES

Tulsa, Okla. – Rib Crib BBQ & Grill presented $105,000 to five local Tulsa charities April 4 from proceeds of its 15th annual golf invitational, the 2017 Pitmasters Golf Tournament presented by Prosperity Bank.

More than 144 golfers participated in the annual golf event to support the five local nonprofit organizations: The Foundation for Tulsa Schools, The Children’s Hospital at Saint Francis, Pet Adoption League (PAL), Emergency Infant Services, and 12&12.

“We are so thankful to the sponsors, golfers and employees who helped raise this money for us to give back to these charities who provide wonderful services to our community,” said Marc Chastain, Rib Crib President.

Chastain and Danielle Palm, Rib Crib tournament director, presented oversized checks to each of the agencies and their representatives, which included: Bryan Day, CEO, and Clayton Woodrum, board member, of 12&12; Tom Neff, Senior Vice President of Saint Francis Health System and Kacie Frazier, Coordinator at The Children’s Hospital Foundation; Sherri Hardy, Pet League Adoption President; and Bill Andoe, Executive Director, and Ranan Gangel, Board Secretary, for Emergency Infant Services.

“Our vendors, volunteers and charitable donations helped make the tournament a success,” said Bret Chandler, Chairman & CEO. “The Rib Crib family is proud to be a part of such a generous community, and we’re so thankful for all the time and effort everyone donated for us to give our local charities.”

The tournament was held at the newly remodeled Oaks Country Club, featuring a shot-gun start four-person scramble, hole-in-one prizes from Land Rover of Tulsa and

Don Thornton Cadillac, a smoked tenderloin lunch and lunch on the course from Rib Crib’s competitive BBQ team, and live and silent auctions.

Rib Crib acknowledges the many contributors of financial, in-kind and services donation who made the tournament possible. Special thanks go to tournament presenting sponsor, Prosperity Bank. Major sponsors were Andreini & Company Insurance, Auto Chlor, Barcas, LLC, Curtis Restaurant Supply, Dr. Pepper, Farmer Brothers Coffee, The Barkley Law Firm, The Hub Group, Tyson Foods and Saint Francis Hospital.

Silent and live auction items included:  $500 Bruce G. Weber gift card raffle, a Hasty Bake Grill, Yeti coolers, an Argentina Dove Hunt, 100 -Person PigMen BBQ cater, a Fleming’s Steakhouse private dinner for 12, a Duck Hunt at Dillingham Ranch, Polo Grill dinner for ten, Cigar dinner from SMOKE On Cherry Street, University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and OKC Thunder memorabilia.

The Foundation for Tulsa Schools is a community based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that was formed March 29, 2001 with the mission of building a better community through resources in educational quality, creativity and innovation.

The Children’s Hospital at Saint Francis was founded to welcome and foster charitable giving and to provide and care for the special spiritual, emotional and physical needs of children and their families. Funds raised support pediatric care, programming and facilities for sick children, regardless of their ability to pay.

12 & 12 offers life-saving recovery tools for adults suffering with addiction or co-existing mental health and substance use disorders to achieve individualized recoveries. They are a leader in the substance abuse and addiction treatment and recovery fields and the largest non-profit addiction treatment facility in the four-state area.

Pet Adoption League finds approved, loving and forever homes for rescued animals. They make the transition of adopting dogs to their new homes as easy as possible with educational materials.

Emergency Infant Services is a non-profit organization that provides temporary assistance to children five and younger in the Tulsa area whose families are in dire economic straits. They provide the most basic of needs: food, formula, clothing, and diapers, along with other children’s items.
