Missy

Rescue Group Name: Great Pyrenees Rescue of OK

Name of Animal: Missy

Breed: Great Pyr mix

Sex: Female

Color(s): blonde

Weight: 70 lbs

Age: 2-3 yrs

Known Shots: fully vaccinated, dewormed, spayed, heart worm negative

Adoption Fee: 175.00

Place this animal under: Medium Dogs

Comments: Mary Jane and Missy, along with several other pyrs., were an owner surrender. They have not had much, if any, experience outside of their back yard, and were treated horribly by their awful owner; after a few months with their foster parents both girls have made great improvements and is becoming wonderful family pets. We believe that Mary Jane is Missy’s mom.

Missy is a 2-3 yr old Great Pyrenees/Lab mix. She is also house trained, crate rained and is a well-mannered loving girl. She is doing very good on her leash training and leraning to enjoy going on walks. Missy is very dog friendly and also does great with the cats, horses, and micro pig at her foster home; however she has chased the ducks so she will need a bird-free home. She is shy when meeting strangers and prefers to check out new people from a distance or from the safety of her crate. Missy is a sweet and happy girl that takes her time to bond, she has probably been given little to no reason to trust people in the past given the horrific conditions she and her mom, Mary Jane, came from.

For Missy to really thrive and enjoy life to the fullest we feel they would best fit into a quieter home that does not have young children. Like with many dogs, the girls are monkey see monkey do and have learned many valuable lessons from their foster fur-siblings like how to use the doggie door, and no getting on furniture lol. A home with another dog or dogs would be a great benefit for Missy and will help her settle into a new family. Missy is a sweet doll that desperately needs a family of her own to give her the life she deserves, and she will love you forever in return.

Missy is utd on vaccinations, heart worm negative and spayed. She is fostered in the Tulsa area. If you are interested in adopting Missy please contact Great Pyrenees Rescue of Oklahoma via email and we will respond just as quickly as possible, greatpyrrescueofok@yahoo.com or visit our website at www.wix.com/gprofok/gpr to download an adoption application.

Mary Jane is a 4 yr old Great Pyrenees mix. She is also house trained, crate rained and is a well-mannered loving girl. She enjoys going on walks and is very dog friendly and also does great with the cats, horses, and micro pig at her foster home; however she has chased the ducks so she’ll need a bird-free home. She meets strangers well and is pretty quick to warm up to new people including kids. Mary Jane will sit and offer her paw in exchange for affection. She is a sweet, happy girl and will bond quickly to her fur-ever family.

Rescue Group Name: Lab Rescue OK

Name of Animal: Yeager

Breed: Labrador

Sex: Male

Color(s): Yellow

Weight: 45

Age: 9 months

Known Shots: Rabies, DA2PPV, Bordatella

Adoption Fee: 200

Place this animal under: Medium Dogs

Comments: Hi. My name is Yeager. I was in a shelter when a nice lady from Lab Rescue came and got me. She took me to get my shots and neutered. The vet did some tests and said I’m a healthy boy.

Let me tell you a little about myself. I’m 9 months old. I weigh about 45 pounds now and I’ve still got 5 or 6 months worth of growing to do. I’m cute as can be, very playful, and I LOVE food! I’ll do just about anything for food. I like my foster home. There’s lots of dogs here for me to play with. I especially like my foster brother. We didn’t hit it off the first night, but now we’re best buddies. We do all the fun stuff puppies like to do together.

I’m housebroken and crate trained. I’m learning all kinds of cool stuff like sit, off, and wait so I don’t run out the front door. I’m also learning not to beg at the table. That one’s a little harder because I LOVE food!

Come out to the next adoption event and meet me. I’m irresistible!

Rescue Group Name: Lab Rescue OK

Name of Animal: Stone

Breed: labrador/dachshund

Sex: Male

Color(s): black

Weight: 40

Age: 23 weeks

Known Shots: Rabies, Bordatella, DA2PPV

Adoption Fee: 175

Place this animal under: Medium Dogs

Comments: Hi, I am Stone, I am about 23 weeks old. I came from the Pryor shelter with 2 siblings. As you can see I am over the sarcoptic mange. I am male and solid black. I am the shortest of my brothers and am the heaviest at 19 pounds. I am also the shyest but I love to be petted. I also like wrestling with my siblings and chasing balls and toys. I am still working on housetraining but I sleep through the night without going in my crate. I will receive my last vaccinations and be neutered in 2 weeks. I have an umbilical hernia but that will be fixed by the doctor when I am neutered. I am looking forward to finding my forever home.

Update I have now been neutered, had my hernia repaired and received all my vaccinations. I am ready for my new home. I have become more outgoing and am told that I am very calm and my foster mom was impressed at how I sat in my seat and didn’t try to wander all over the car. It looks like I will be a short, stout dog. My foster mom thinks I have Dachshund in me. I also weigh 24.5 pounds now and have 3 earrings. The senior lab that pierced my ear didn’t tell me it would hurt a lot, I think there was a mess up. I yelped very loudly and my foster mom rushed me to a “vet” who inserted 3 cool earrings but he said I only get to keep them for 10 days.
