Pet Overpopulation Crisis License Plates

OAA reminds everyone that the Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA) spay/ neuter license plate provides the only low-income assistance in many remote parts of our state. The fund is only able to respond to requests in a timely manner if compassionate people support this important program.  Buying your license plate not only contributes to this fund but it educates others about the pet overpopulation crisis.

Woofstock ’09 Big Success

The annual pet adoption event Woofstock was held Saturday,

August 29th at Hunter Park in South Tulsa.


   Pet lovers enjoyed a variety of events from Kissing the Pooch

 to Pet Costume Contests.  


  A fun time was had by all.

American Pitbull Awareness Day

Description: Tulsa Animal Welfare, Green Country American Pitbull Terrier Club, Club K-9, Tulsa Dog Training School & Boxer Rescue are putting on the event. It is a family friendly event with only club members\’ dogs being showcased for safety precautions. This event is geared at addressing myths and educating the public on breed awareness, spay & neutering, training & obedience, and the human and inhumane treatment of animals in society.
