His left sleeve will have (50K/Marathon Trail Double, 2010), (50k Trail/Marathon TROAD, 2011). For every year you run the TRC Post Oak Lodge Double you get the previous years achievements on the left sleeve of your technical shirt.

One of our members, Robert Foshay will be hosting this special Tulsa Animal Shelter Shoot-In event utilizing his experience in pet photography. Here’s what Bob has planned: We meet at the shelter on North Erie just west of Sheridan on Apache at 10:00AM for a short tutorial on techniques I have learned over the past 2 years of taking photos of the dogs and cats at the shelter. We start shooting 10:30am. The shelter doesn’t open to the public until noon, but some of the cleaning crew will still be working. The animals will be in their cages and are free to move around. We will shooting through cages chain link. The lighting is terrible sun light mixed with fluorescent, and mercury vapor. Forget the tripods they only get in the way. The lenses to use are 24-70mm full format sensor or APS-C sensor 16-50mm. On camera flash unit(not the built-in) with light modifier and TTL output control work best. You will get “green eye” sometimes, but it can be Photoshopped out. This shoot will be a test of speed and intuition, more photojournalist then artistic. You won’t have time compose perfectly. You may want to use manual focus because of the chain-link cage. Small apartures(f11 or higher), fixed shutter speed because the strobe, means ISO and a TTL Flash are going to be the choices for exposure control. I will go cover in the tutorial some of the methods to get the dog to “pose”. The areas we will cover are the cat adoption room and the dog room. We will fan out and move around without any preplanned path. I will walk around to answer questions and help as I can. Be prepared to see some animals suffering. Just remember you are going help them find a home.
