GPRO is devoted to saving Great Pyrenees and Pyrenees mixes in kill shelters, strays, owner surrenders or otherwise considered at-risk for physical/mental injury, cruelty or abandonment.
We are a 501c3 not for profit organization, run by volunteers with funds provided by donations and adoption fees.
We have Great Pyrenees of all different ages. We strive to find the right Pyr for your family, home, and lifestyle. All of our dogs are cared for by foster families, where they are treated as indoor companion pets, unless the dog comes to us as an experienced livestock guardian dog. Our foster homes are dedicated to helping their foster dogs be highly adoptable by house training, crate training, leash training and teaching good indoor manners to their foster Pyrs.
All dogs are provided a health exam, vaccinations, de-worming, heart worm testing, tick borne disease testing, spay/neuter, and any other medical care they may need before they are available for adoption. We do not discriminate based on age or health and strive to help as many Great Pyrenees and Great Pyrenees mix dogs as possible.
